Electron Clone Keyboard Case
When I built the first Electron Clone back in 2022 I also built a keyboard to go along with it. Since then I have used one of these keyboards to test all subsequent versions. To make it a bit more rugged I cobbled together a wooden box to protect it from the usual mess around my desk when I'm assembling the PCB's

Now it was time to make it a bit more professional looking by building it into the same style of case as I use for the Clone.

The top and base look like this..it is just a cut down version of the Clone case.

Assembling the keyboard into the top plate and mounting the pillars to the base.

I could have used less screws by using the keyboard mounting pillars to hold both the top and bottom of the case!

The finished keyboard.

Complete with finger prints (need to clean them off) I stuck some feet on the base, slightly larger ones at the back so it slightly tilts the keyboard.

The keyboard is only 20mm thick (the Clone is 35mm) so I could easily use it as a remote keyboard and tuck the Electron behind the screen...just an idea..
